Losing Mum and Dad to Covid
The devastating impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has left many families grieving the loss of their loved ones, including my own.
My parents, who were both in their 60s, fell ill with the virus and despite their best efforts to fight it, they tragically lost their battle. The emptiness and sadness that followed their passing was indescribable.
Not being able to say goodbye properly or hold a traditional funeral only added to the pain and sense of loss. It felt surreal to be dealing with such a profound loss in the midst of a global crisis.
The memories of their laughter, their love, and their guidance will forever be cherished, but the void they left behind is irreplaceable.
As I navigated through the grieving process, I found solace in connecting with others who had experienced similar losses and in seeking support from friends and family.
The road to healing has been long and arduous, but with time, I have come to accept that their spirits live on in me and in the memories we shared together.
Though the pain of losing Mum and Dad to Covid will always linger, I have found strength in honoring their legacy and living each day to make them proud.
May their souls rest in peace, and may their love continue to guide me through the darkness.
